What a long winter. Don’t mind me, I’ve been hibernating. But I’m about to wake up stretching and yawning, get myself a coffee and kick this year into life a bit!

First up is this Saturday and the Cardiff Anarchist Bookfair, (see above). Bookfairs are the anarchist movement’s shop window and main gathering space outside protests. Just like last year, there will be three workshop spaces for talks and discussions, and a main hall of stalls, plus creche, bar, cafe and more. In the evening there will be a benefit gig and social.

I’ll be hosting the music event in the day, and playing at 16.00. Weirdly enough – though, and this is a first for me – I’ll be participating in a debate with local Marxists! Getting up and singing is one thing, but I can pretty much guarantee I’ll be shitting it for this. Come and check it out at the bookfair – further details about the debate are here.

I’ll also be hosting another Music Without Borders event on Wednesday 24th February at the Trinity Centre in Cardiff. It’ll be our fifth event so far, where we bring together musicians from migrant and settled communities in Cardiff and we’ll be raising money for local refugee support services.

Hope to see you soon!
