Edinburgh Fringe! Fordham Festival! Hungary! Tolpuddle Martyrs Review!

August 4, 2010 by cosmoakacitizensmith

Ok, my Edinburgh Fringe show this year will be touching on bent coppers (oh yes!), drugs, EDO decommissioners, one of George Formby’s legendary trips to Blackpool, crap sex and all the rest of it. You can get tickets by clicking on this link, and if you’re in town and a bit skint and fancy coming, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do….. 😉

This weekend (5 – 8 August) I’ll be playing on the Cabaret stage at Fordham festival at 2pm on Friday.

I got a one-line review for the open mic at Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival….see if you can spot it!
http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/tolpuddle/2010/review-overview.shtml. Actually I was well chuffed with all the support and feedback I got there – nice one, folks. Hopefully see you next year. This was indeed the festival where Billy Bragg signed my CD, (see previous entry). Here’s a photo from an impromptu gig I did at the boozer after. Big shaht aht to Rob Simmons for this:

And finally, here’s me playing in a boozer in Hungary….To be honest, I wish I had some snaps from the gigs I did at the 24 hour fruit and Veg shop down the road which had a nice line in feeding me strange fermented liqueurs and German lager as I was playing. Alright for me I suppose, but not really for the people listening. Unless they were all drinking the same, of course. Hmmm….

And yes, to you more observant readers, yes I HAVE been wearing the same jacket all summer and no I HAVEN’T cleaned it. Just don’t come too close if you come to any of the shows, innit.
